Because he's my best friend and I want to help him out. You know. In case another kill game happens and the ring ends up covered in bloody bodies again.
There are Personae who run games where we get killed, sometimes because of the choices the teams make, sometimes because of what the Persona does. Doesn't happen too often, but when it does it can get pretty bad.
